The Blackstars of Ghana, have made a sensational 5th qualification to the World Cup, after making their first appearance in 2006.

The Blackstars of Ghana secures their ticket to compete at the pinnacle of world football, the FiFa World Cup, after clinching a one-goal victory over Comoros. The world will once again experience the Blackstars display premium soccer at the world cup.

Prior to the match, the euphoria was amazing. Coming on the back of the statement victory over Central African Republic, in Menkes, Morocco, securing a 5 goal victory. This emphatic win over CAR pushed the Ghanaian populace into a state of joy, belief and confidence knowing, that the game against Comoros was going to be just a walk in the park for the Blackstars. Before the match itself, a great percentage of the Ghanaian population were actually looking forward to the World Cup itself, rather than focusing on the game at hand. Predictions prior to the game were quite high, ranging from 5-0 predictions to 3-0 predictions in favor of the Blackstars.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, in an interview with Sporty FM – Accra’s Gary-Al Smith, before the match, expressed high optimism for the game and expected the Blackstars to finish the job and secure qualification to the World Cup. Speaking to Sporty FM, he said,”I…I am not much into football, but the Blackstars are my number one football team. And so, anytime the Blackstars are playing, I’m anxious to see them win…come up victorious. Sometimes it’s a bit nerve wracking to watch, especially when the goals are not coming. And so, the last time I spoke to them I asked them whether I should eat before the match, or eat after I watch the match and they assured me, they said I can eat after the match, because they’re going to score and they performed brilliantly…”

In the match Ghana, struggled in the first half, as Comoros proved to be a very hard side to crack. The Blackstars had difficulties breaking the opposition defense, in a half that ended disappointingly for the fans. But the Blackstars picked up momentum in the second half of the game. Finally, they found the back of the net, in a brilliant team goal which was finished off by Tottenham Hotspur forward, Mohammed Kudus. The goal threw the whole stadium into frenzy and immerse excitement, with a section of fans doing the chant, “USA!, USA!!, USA!!!”

After securing qualification, the president of the Federation of International Football Association, Gianni Infantino, in a video, congratulated the Blackstars on securing qualification to the World cup for the 5th time in the country’s history. In the video, he said,”Congratulations to the Blackstars on reaching the FiFa World Cup for the fifth time in history. Your fans will bring color, style and passion to the greatest Fifa World Cup ever, in 2026 in Canada, Mexico and the United States. And we expect that your team will establish more global stars to follow in the footsteps of that famous team that made the quarter-finals of the tournament in South Africa in 2010. But for now enjoy this special moment. And we cannot wait to see who the Blackstars will face when we have the final tournament draw on the 5th of December. See you very soon. Well done!
